If you won't wear a mask to prevent the spread of the coronavirus to neighbors, at least do it to protect Stevie Nicks.
The Fleetwood Mac singer has issued a plea to fans, asking them to wear protective face coverings so she can continue performing. "If I get it, I will probably never sing again," the 72-year-old wrote Tuesday on her Facebook page. "Put me on a ventilator and I will be hoarse for the rest of my life. I don’t have much time … I am 72 years old … this virus can kill you. It can kill me."
Nicks also urged her followers to stop politicizing the safety measure. "The masks and the distancing have now become a political statement," she wrote. "It is not political. It is a silent killer hiding in the shadows. It is stalking you. It doesn’t care who you are; it’s just looking for a victim. And you don’t have much time."
