The NFL will be adding a special mouth shield to its helmets this year, in an attempt to reduce the spread of coronavirus on the football field.
On Monday, we got our first glimpse of the Oakley Mouth Shield, designed to create a "significant blockage" for transmission of droplets.
So far, the shields are optional with no league-wide mandate to wear them. Several players are currently testing the shields to give designers feedback.
