While artists and promoters have pulled the plugs on most of 2020's concert tours, Motley Crue, Def Leppard, Poison and Joan Jett have stubbornly refused to cancel their upcoming "Stadium Tour," hoping for a coronavirus breakthrough that will enable them to proceed as planned. But the failure to commit either way is apparently making some fans impatient.
In comments posted on various social media sites, a number of fans have expressed their frustation, with many calling for the tour to be cancelled and their money returned. "All shows this summer have been cancelled or postponed," one ticketholder tweeted. "Cancel already so folks can get their money back to use for essentials." Another fan wrote on Instagram, "I'm not showing up if this concert happens on the scheduled date. No f***ing way. A lot of fans out there are hurting and could really use that money right now."
For their part, the headlining acts have promised to make a decision by June 1st. A statement released last week reads, "We are currently weighing all options and are awaiting further direction from the powers that be."
