The city of Laredo, Texas is not messing around when it comes to coronavirus protection.
This week, the city council approved a motion that will fine citizens up to $1,000 if they're caught in public without a facemask or some other former of nose and mouth covering.
The rule applies to anyone entering public buildings or riding public transportation, or even while pumping gas.
The town, located along the U.S.-Mexico border, will also enforce a 10pm curfew that carries the same $1,000 fine for violators.
