Starting at 5 PM today and for 30 days, all gatherings of 250 or more people in Spokane County have been asked to be canceled. This extends to events, concerts, church services and other gatherings.
This morning's recommendation from Spokane County Health Officer, Dr. Bob Lutz, is aimed at preventing the spread of COVID-19.
At this time the cancellations do not extend to schools.
Health officials believe the virus is here and circulating although there are no confirmed cases in Spokane County or Idaho.
