Seattle residents will be able to vote using their smartphones in an upcoming local election - a first in American politics.
Voters can use their phones to cast their ballot for an upcoming Board of Supervisors election, anytime between now and Election Day on Feb. 11th.
While voting-by-phone won't be available in the November general election, some believe the technology could greatly improve voter turnout. Critics say it opens things up for hackers or other types of voter fraud.
