Residents in Snowflake, Arizona awoke to a strange purple glowing sky last week. And while the town is home to the state's largest medical marijuana farm, the sight wasn't because people were sampling the wears.
According to a Facebook post by the county, a combination of fresh snow and fog reflected the red and blue lights from the grow lamps used by Copperstate Farms.
Cara Smith, an employee at the facility who took the photo shared by Navajo County, told CNN, "The purple lights are always there but don't usually light up the sky like this."
The comments section is a mixed bag of those complaining about light pollution and others who thought it looked nice.
