While no one is quite sure how the underwear got there, the caption speculates, "Must have been a hot flight."
It seems this happens more often than you'd think. The Sun notes how one Virgin Atlantic traveler discovered lacy panties on her seat while boarding. And there was last year's incident where a woman dried her underwear on the cabin's air vent.
