A schoolteacher in Wisconsin has come clean on a dirty habit, admitting he's been pooping in a public park for the past two years.
Whitewater resident Jeffrey S. Churchwell, who's due to retire from the Milton School District later this month, made the confession Tuesday while answering to an October 8th incident in which a park worker caught him defecating on the ground. A sheriff's deputy later stopped Churchwell when he saw him driving back to the park. According to court documents, the deputy showed Churchwell security photos of him in the act and asked what he was doing. Churchwell hung his head down and replied, "Going to the bathroom," per the documents. When the deputy asked for clarification, Churchwell said, "A number two."
Churchwell has since admitted to defecating at Natureland Park -- sometimes several times a day -- since 2017, prosecutors say. He's apologized to the city of Whitewater, saying he was "just being an idiot" when he committed the acts. A judge has ordered him to pay $365 in fines to the city, plus $5,705 to the Public Works Department for having to clean up after him.
