This past year has been pretty great for rock bands on the road, with some of the biggest names topping Billboard's Top Tours chart.
The highest-ranked hard rock act, coming in at 6th overall, is Metallica, who sold 1.7 million tickets on their World Wired tour over the last 12 months, earning a combined gross of $177 million from 46 shows.
KISS ranked 10th as they continue to fire up audiences on their "End Of The Road" final run, taking in $89 million at their 72 concerts.
Elsewhere in the Top 10 are Elton John, the Rolling Stones, and Paul McCartney, with Billy Joel, the Eagles, and Dead And Company reaching the Top 20.
