A Spokane man has been arrested on two outstanding warrants after police found him hiding in a garage. What makes this story worth reporting? The man has been convicted of 30 previous felonies.
Police call Christopher Sheldon, 42, a "career criminal" and "violent offender," with burglary, robbery and attempted kidnapping among the many convictions on his record. On Wednesday, officers spotted Sheldon's car and attempted to pull him over, according to an arrest affidavit. Sheldon stopped, jumped out of his vehicle and led them on a foot chase through yards and over fences, the report reads. They finally found him hiding in a stranger's garage and took him into custody.
Now it looks like his list of convictions may get even longer. After obtaining a search warrant for Sheldon's car, officers found an illegal handgun and methamphetamine, per the affidavit.
