A youth baseball umpire just up and left in the middle of a game in Newport Harbor, California. And in true 2019 fashion, it was caught on video.
"Enough, I'm not hearing another word out of any of you," he said and gestured toward the backstop after several parents had been berating him. "If you want to have a game here, quiet down."
The parents, acting more like children, continued with one saying, "Stay professional for the kids and just do your job." The final straw came from a woman who asked, "Are you mad because the kids are taller than you?"
As he walks to his car you can hear comments of, "You're out of control," "Terrible," and "What a jerk," on the TikTok video shared by @griswald3, #badparents #badparentskills. Though, it isn't clear if they were directed at the ump or the bad parents. The video has been shared more than 341,000 times.
