AAA is saying this year's Thanksgiving travel season could be the second-highest volume ever.
55 million people are expected to go somewhere by plane, train, car or bus.
The record number of Thanksgiving travelers was set in 2005. That year, over 58 million people hit the road for the holiday.
AAA's Thanksgiving travel window is from November 26th until December 1st. An estimated 49 million people will drive somewhere and 4.4 million will fly to their destination. AAA expects the worst travel day will be on the 26th, the Tuesday before Thanksgiving day.
