In what's likely not considered by most to be shocking news, a new study reveals marijuana use among young adults is on the rise.
Published Monday in the journalThe American Academy of Pediatrics, the study shows college students who say they've smoked weed in the past 30 days has increased 8 percent in the past 14 years. For non-college students, the number increased by 4 percent. The survey also revealed that 30 percent of young adults think smoking pot is harmful, which is the lowest that number has been since 1980.
On the other hand, tobacco use is down. The study indicates students who said they smoked tobacco products in the past 30 days dropped 16 percent from 2002 to 2016.
