In their earliest days, U2 spent lots of time playing shows and honing their craft. Yet few recordings from this period exist.
While a 1980 concert and an October 1979 radio broadcast were thought to be the oldest in the Irish rockers' history, a tape has now emerged that pre-dates both.
Taken from inside Dublin's Dandelion Market on August 11, the live recording features covers and songs that would make it onto the band's debut album, plus two tracks that may only have been captured that afternoon.
While it is not known what plans there are for an official release, clips of "Concentration Cramp" and "In Your Hand" have made it onto the internet.
