A longtime friend of Freddie Mercury says we almost saw a supergroup with Freddie Mercury, Elton John, and Rod Stewart.
Filmmaker Rudi Dolezal says he was at one of the Queen singer's legendary dinner parties when the trio discussed the idea. But as cool as that band might have been, they would have had a terrible name. Dolezal says Rod Stewart wanted to call the group "Nose, Teeth & Hair" because "Rod had a big nose, Elton had problems with his hair and Freddie had his teeth!"
Unfortunately, the project never materialized, which Dolezal called "contemporary music's deep and abiding loss".
