Eric Clapton's classic performance on MTV's Unplugged is getting expanded to a 90-minute theatrical and streaming special.
Eric Clapton Unplugged ... Over 30 Years Later, will be shown in theaters on January 27th, and 28th, and will then premiere Feburary 12th, on Paramount+.
The original Emmy-winning hour-long special is best remembered for Clapton's acoustic reimagining of "Layla," and the live recording of his solo hit tears in heaven. Unplugged, sold 10 million copies in the U.S., and earned six Grammy Awards, including Album of the Year.
The concert has been, remastered and extended with interviews and behind the scenes performances with the crew. Tickets for the theatrical release are available now, exclusively at Dolby Atmos capable locations.
