Dennis Miller - Martin Woldson Theater

Dennis Miller, two-time Emmy Award winner for his comedy specials, and number 21 on Comedy Central’s list, “100 Greatest Comedians of All Time,” got his start as a stand-up comedian in his hometown of Pittsburgh, and made it to the big time when he was discovered by “Saturday Night Live” (SNL) producer Lorne Michaels, who saw his act in L.A.’s The Comedy Store, and invited him to join the cast. After six seasons as the anchorman of SNL’s popular Weekend Update sketch, Miller launched his own late-night TV talk show, “The Dennis Miller Show,” was a New York Times best-selling author, and hosted a variety of TV and radio talk shows on HBO and CNBC, among others. Nothing is safe from Miller’s comic rants, which have been described as “sarcasm infused with obscure pop culture references."
