WATCH! Robert Plant & The Sensational Space Shifters perform "Whole Lotta Love"

posted by Shannon Steele -

Promising “an unforgettable performance by one of rock’s most influential performers,” AXS TV is set to air Robert Plant & the Sensational Shape Shifters: Live at David Lynch’s Festival of Disruption next month — and the network has already premiered the night’s rendition of the Led Zeppelin classic “Whole Lotta Love.”

Due to air March 5, the hour-long special captures Plant with his band at the acclaimed director’s titular festival, held as “a fully immersive creative gathering” last Oct. 8 and 9 with a variety of multimedia attractions that included a virtual reality theater and a set from comedy legend Mel Brooks.

According to a press release announcing the show, Plant’s set includes “stripped down and acoustic renditions” of Zeppelin songs such as “Black Dog,” “Babe I’m Gonna Leave You” and “Whole Lotta Love” in addition to solo cuts like “Turn It Up,” “Rainbow,” “The Enchanter” and “Little Maggie.”
