Apparently, they don't make firetrucks like they used to.
The Plumbstead Township, Pennsylvania Fire Department decided to commemorate Memorial Day by parking its large hook and ladder truck in front of the station with an American flag atop its outstretched ladder. Unfortunately, the flag proved to be too heavy for the vehicle and it tipped over onto its side.
The ladder struck at least one vehicle on Route 611. Although police confirmed there were minor injuries, they have not said how many people were hurt. Route 611 had to be shut down until they could get a crane out there to upright the firetruck, police say.
