The Rolling Stones have recorded dozens of songs in preparation for a new album, according to their longtime producer.
Producer Don Was says the band has tracked about 40 songs over the last seven years, and is waiting on "the 10 we choose to finish" for a new album.
Was says that as far as the Stones are concerned, "making a 'good' album is not good enough - it's gotta be great." The Stones' No Filter U.S. tour is set to continue through the end of August.
