If you were in Spokane in the 80's and 90's, odds are you spent some time at the hip and happening JJ's.
Their house band was All Fall Down.....a bunch of amazing artists and band members who loved what they did.
This past Saturday night they ALL came back together for a benefit concert for the Future Song Foundation at the Northern Quest Resort and Casino. I had a special interest in the event, as one of the singers, Jilla Webb, used to be my roommate, and I still call her FRIEND :)
As we (my friend Lisa and I) walked in to the room....it was filled with fans, and a ton of them were dressed in 80's or 90's garb! I saw Madonna, Sonny Crockett (aka Don Johnson), lots of mullets, even PeeWee Herman!
There were 3 sets, with different fabulous singers for each set, Jilla was last. When she and guitarist Joe Brasch sat on stools and performed Dog and Butterfly....I got a little teary. Five minutes later they are all rockin' their version of Enter Sandman!
It was a great night. I'm hoping it will become an annual benefit concert, for a good cause!
