After 53 years of marriage, a Texas couple died from coronavirus side-by-side while holding hands.
Betty and Curtis Tarpley were admitted to a Fort Worth hospital two days apart and on June 18 died within an hour of each other.
Their son said, "With them both going at the same time, you're not seeing one of them grieve or be sad for the other one. I think that's very helpful".
He went on to say he's forever grateful for the doctors and nurses who made sure they were in the same room in their final moments.
Betty and Curtis Tarpley were high school sweethearts.
