Montana Town Uses Beer Waste To Save Water

A Montana town is saving over $1 million on water treatment - all thanks to beer.

The town of Bozeman, MT uses liquid waste from the city's ten breweries to remove bacteria, which gobbles up the yeast and sugar from the leftover barley waste.  

The city says the technique has saved them from spending a million bucks on upgrading its water treatment plant. Now other towns are looking to copy Bozeman's trick for themselves.
