Wi-Fi Hotspot Name Gets Couple Booted From Flight

While giving your home router a clever name might be funny when you live in an apartment building, airport security doesn't really have the same sense of humor.

A couple got pulled off a Montreal-bound GoJet flight at Detroit Metropolitan Airport last week after the cabin crew noticed the Wi-Fi hotspot "Remote detonator".

Police arrived, removing the Quebec residents from the plane, who were arrested, then released, pending an investigation, says the Detroit Free Press.

This wouldn't be the first time, notes the New Zealand Herald. In 2014, a Qantas pilot refused to fly after the hotspot name "Mobile detonation device" was brought to the attention of flight attendants.
