Today marks the 7th anniversary of one of the all-time great NFL lowlights - the infamous Mark Sanchez 'butt fumble'.
On Nov. 22nd, 2012, the Jets and Patriots faced off in a Thanksgiving Day game. Jets QB Mark Sanchez tried to step up in the pocket but ran into teammate Brandon Moore's posterior, causing a fumble that was picked up by the Pats and run in for a touchdown.
The 'butt fumble' was the beginning of the end for Sanchez in New York. He would miss all of next season with a shoulder injury and released by the Jets the following year.
