NASA Caught Black Hole Destroying Star the Size of Our Sun

It just destroyed a star about the size of Earth's sun and NASA scientists are thrilled to have captured the unsettling event.

The Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite, TESS for short, caught video of the black hole literally pulling the star apart and into dust.

Scientists call the event a "tidal disruption." It happened back in January. Though, NASA says it only happens every 10,000 to 100,000 years. I guess that should make us feel a little better, right?
