An embarrassing mistake to Washington State University's academic planners caught school officials by surprise as classes began.

Instead of featuring a picture of WSU's campus, academic planners incorrectly showed UW's campus.

WSU administrators refused to elaborate on how the mistake happened, but said they believed the typo was not a "huge deal."

The layouts for the academic planners are carried out at Barnes and Noble headquarters in New Jersey, but it  was unclear if the mistake was made at a local level.

Officials said WSU's Spokane campus does not carry the disputed academic planner.

It was not clear if the planner has ever been carried there, or if it was pulled after school officials noticed the mistake.
