Coeur d’Alene Police arrested a man Sunday accused of firing a gun in the parking lot of a bar the previous night. 

Authorities were called to the Corner Bar on North 4th Street around 10:15 Saturday night. When an officer arrived, he was told there had been a man with a gun who fired a shot in the parking lot.

Police said a man who was outside the bar suffered a minor injury to his leg from the gunshot. He was not transported to the hospital.

Officials said the officer chased the suspect on foot to the area of 5th and Spruce where a K9 officer began to track the suspect.

Idaho State Police, the Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office and Coeur d’Alene Police set up a perimeter. A K9 tracked the suspect for a while but was unable to find him.

Authorities arrested 32-year-old Erik Henninger of Coeur d'Alene on Sunday afternoon. Henninger faces felony charges for Aggravated Assault and Aggravated battery according to the Coeur d'Alene Police Department.
