Firefighters were called to the scene of a hazmat situation on Wednesday morning near Wellesley and Crestline.
Emergency workers said the incident stemmed from an acid spill involving a Waste Management truck. The area around Wellesley and Crestline was shut down for at least 45 minutes.
Workers say clear liquid was leaking from the truck and began to bubble on the ground. Tests showed the liquid was a potentially dangerous acid.
Five fire crews were called to the scene.
